Yes, Chris Brown has been in yet another Twitter feud this time however with someone who quite frankly could beat the living shit out of him. This time WWE Wrestler CM Punk was the other guy in the feud and boy did he show Chris Brown! Now i’m not to sure how the rage began but following a couple of tweets CM Punk decided the only way to voice his fury of what Chris Brown did to Rihanna was to make a video. CM Punk begins the video by saying..

“I never intended to include Chris Brown’s name in one of my tweets to start some sort of controversy or to get publicity or anything like that, but now that he’s thrown accusations my way about using steroids, I feel the need to reply, so please allow me to retort.”

He then goes on to say..

“Me & Chris come from two different worlds. don’t have a manager, I don’t have a bodyguard — I don’t need a bodyguard. I don’t have an assistant, I have no need for a PR team to tell me what to tweet and when to delete tweets. And I don’t hit women. Period. You don’t hit women.”

Now although me and CM Punk are completely different, he really did hit the nail on the head and perfectly explained how i and many others probably feel about the situation, he continues..

“In my world women are to be revered and respected and I firmly believe that in this life there are consequences and repercussions for peoples actions. And I don’t think Chris has paid for what he has done. Picking up trash on the side of a highway does not make amends for repeatedly striking a woman to her face and sending her to a hospital. So Chris wants to throw stones my way now and I say that’s fine, but, put some gloves on and get in the ring, I will choke you out,  and I will make you feel as weak and as powerless and as scared and alone as any woman whose ever had the misfortune of knowing a sad, cowardly little boy such as yourself.”

Following the video Chris Brown played the GOD card! tweeting back..

“You are not GODS to judge us. U have no say! Positivity and LOVE! My fans make a difference!”

There’s the real smart part, the fans bit, because although Chris Brown really hasn’t done anything to redeem himself he always thanks his fans. Making them feel like his redemption even though there is none, he has NOT redeemed himself. And overall it is really well managed PR, with the use of the GOD card! Because if you believe in all loving all forgiving GOD then that’s fine believe that, but with Chris Brown saying it, it really does lose meaning. To forgive, forget and let ‘GOD handle it’ as they say is the right of a victim not an abuser. Chris Brown is an abuser, using GOD as a form of redemption & a ‘getaway from jail’ card is not something he can throw around willy nilly to get away with things.

In the wise words of PhillyD..

“If Chris Brown even gave 1/4 of the effort he puts into letting everyone know how big his dick is, we get its there and its big, we get it congrats.. But if put at least 1/4 of that effort into showing people he was a changed man or OMG maybe even trying to be a changed man..”

Then maybe he would be on the path of redemption but for now he will always be remembered as ‘the guy who beat Rihanna’.

So that’s it for another year, the Brit Awards 2012 is officially over and what a night it was! With performances from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Adele, Florence & The Machine and Rihanna it really was an amazing night! Coldplay opened the night with Charlie Brown which was dazzling to listen to and view!! Rihanna’s performance was absolutely spectacular, she not only sang and danced perfectly AND looked HOT but also managed to get the whole of the O2 arena on their feet and dancing!! Ed Sheeran also proved the be an amazing performer, singing Lego House with just himself and his trusty guitar, true talent!! Adele once again performed Rolling In The Deep!! At the ending however there was a rather awkward moment as James Cordon was forced to cut Adele’s thank you speech short as ITV’s time was running out. After Adele thanked her fans and said she was “so, so proud to be British and flying our flags”, the Gavin & Stacey star stepped in and said apologetically: “I am so sorry and I can’t believe I’m about to cut you off. I’m so sorry.”

Adele then said: “Goodbye, see you again next year,” before flipping her middle finger in the direction of those in charge of the broadcast. James Cordon spoke later of the night and said “I’m alright – I just feel bad about having to cut Adele off. I really don’t understand quite why I was made to, but it’s not a very nice way to end. I was having the best night of my life but then I had to cut Adele off before she had a chance to say thank you – she’s the biggest star in the world.  don’t quite understand what happened – but I’m quite upset about it. Blur playing for 11 minutes and she gets to just say ‘Thank you’ once. Up until then, I thought we’d really [been terrific].”

Maybe next year BBC One should broadcast the awards!

The new 2.0 update for the BlackBerry PlayBook now lets you use email.. But shouldn’t it have done that already? Does it give you anything an iPad doesn’t? No, so what is the point?!

RIM have really failed with their Tablet. The new update now allows access to email, something which should have been included in the first place and is really a must have for tablets. Other additions are as follows..

“The updated operating system includes an integrated e-mail inbox, a calendar and contacts that work with social networks, and an updated BlackBerry Bridge app that allows your BlackBerry smartphone to work as a remote for the PlayBook.”

But looking at these additions i can’t help but think why were they not included in the original release?! They are essentials, something you expect your mobile phone to have these days so why on earth were they not included in the BlackBerry PlayBook when it released?! And to be honest i really cannot be asked to review this software update any further.. It does fuck all to be quite frank with you and we are all kind of slowly watching RIM’s demise as the company fails to come up with a new product which actually excites.

And to conclude, don’t buy the BlackBerry PlayBook, buy an iPad, it does EVERYTHING and will not annoy the shit out of you!

Rumor had been circulating that Rihanna & Chris Brown have been getting a little cozy of late but now news has been leaked that the two are to team up for Rihanna’s official release of the track ‘Birthday Cake’. But is it right? Is it right for Rihanna to forgive Chris Brown and be seen to work with him? What kind of message does it send to her female fans who may be or have been in the same situation as her?

By the looks of things the message she is sending is that you can go give him a second chance even after he beats the shit out of you. And yes he may have said he is sorry a billion times but if your willing to give him a second chance then so are the hundreds, maybe thousands of girls who adore you and maybe when they give that guy a second chance, he will do it again..

So is it right that Rihanna has by the looks of things let things go and forgiven Chris Brown? Is it right for her to work with him and how bad would it be if they got back together? Check out the track below!!

It received one of the biggest hypes of any single, Madonna’s return to the world of music was viewed by an American audience of 114 million as well as many more globally at this years Superbowl. She performed her new single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ featuring Nicki Minaj & MIA. Now baring in mind Madonna is the ‘Queen Of Pop’ and so a very successful artist and that the single got an immediate viewing of 114 million at the Superbowl, you would presume that it would be an immediate hit right? Well not so much, the single to put it bluntly is shit, its just poor production, poor lyrics and then 3 big artists thrown in a final attempt to try and make it sell.

Well in the UK it really has flopped, in its first week it came in at number 37 in the charts and its expected to drop out of the top 40 altogether in its second week. Sale levels in the UK are so low for the single that it could even go as far as the spot 51 by next week. In the US the single is having considerably more success being at number 10 in the Billboard 100.

BUT this is Madonna, the supposed ‘Queen Of Pop’ so why is she not dominating the charts? If anything Adele is the current ‘Queen Of Pop’ having endless number one’s millions and millions of sales and having just won 6 Grammy’s at this years Grammy Awards. And in total of Madonna’s vast career she has won 7 Grammy’s, in her entire career just 7 Grammy’s. Adele also beat Madonna’s record for the longest chart reign for a female solo artist.

So does Madonna deserve the title ‘Queen Of Pop’ or is time that it was passed on to a successor?

It’s not common that i hate on a celebrity, other than the Kardashian’s, but their not celebrities their slags. But here we have a real good actor, one who i thought was brilliant, one that i enjoyed watching and found entertaining.. then this happens. Sean Penn is known for being in such films as 21 Grams & Mystic River and is generally well respected, however this week he chose to get into the controversial topic of the ‘Falkland Islands’. Now for a little history lesson..

The Falkland Islands

The islands can be found in the South Atlantic Ocean. There has much debate as to what nation originally discovered the islands and the following colonization, at various times British, French, Spanish & Argentine settlements have been on the island. However in 1833 Britain re-established it’s rule over the islands, claiming full control and being the only nation to settle there. Yet Argentina still claims that the islands belong to them, even though they have never ever had full control of the islands. Stuck in the middle of this row of sovereignty however is the Falklands people, however they have voted on various occasions to remain as part of Britain. Now the overall history of the islands and who went to what part of the island and claimed what where and how is rather confusing but if anyone wishes to read up on it please visit the links at the end.

The Falkland War

On the 2nd April 1982, Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic. The military Junta which had ruled Argentina since 1976 sought to maintain power by diverting public attention away from the countries poor economic performance and the growing internal opposition, and so exploited the peoples long-standing feelings towards the islands. The United Nations Security Council called for Argentina to withdraw its forces and that both sides look for a diplomatic solution. Argentina refused to withdraw. The British Commonwealth Nations, Europe & the United States all backed the United Kingdom and siding with Argentina was much of Latin America. The British Government, led by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (The Iron Lady) decided to send a British Expeditionary Force to re-claim the islands. The Argentine forces surrendered on 14 June 1982. The war resulted in the deaths of 255 British and 649 Argentine soldiers, sailors and airmen, as well as 3 civilian Falklander’s. Following the conflict Britain has upped it’s Military presence on the islands and surrounding oceans.

The Falkland Islands Dispute Today

As of late 2011 Argentina has re begun its ‘conquest of words’ to try and bring about a change. President Kirchner of Argentina has said countless times that Britain is colonialist for keeping the islands blah blah blah and that Britain should sit and discuss the islands Sovereignty. Britain however refuses and i agree, what is there to discuss? The only full claim ever made of the islands was Britain in 1833, making them the only overall governor of the islands and the first. And the Falklands people WANT to be governed by the British Government, so what claim if any does Argentina have at all over the islands??? Absolutely none!!!

The latest news is that Argentina is furious with the British Governments decision to send Prince William to the islands. Prince William is going to train to be an RAF Search & Rescue pilot.. Hardly dangerous is he? And the presence of the warsip HMS Dauntless is due to it replacing a pre-existing warship which is now in need of a re armament and so a new Destroyer has been sent in its place. Honestly what a bitch the Argentine President is turning out to be.

Sean Penn

Now we get to Sean Penn. Over the last two days Sean Penn has hit out at the British Government for its “colonialist ideology”. He is siding with the Argentine Government and saying that they should sit down and discuss the islands future, basically he agrees that Argentina should just walk in and take the islands. A member of the British Parliament hit back by saying the below :

“He shows complete ignorance of the issue if he comes out with nonsensical statements like that. In the 21st century people have a democratic right to their own future.

It is Argentina that is trying to impose its wishes on the people of the Falklands. As an American he should remember that freedom is precious, and it is something his countrymen have defended around the globe.

He must understand that the UK is equally entitled to defend the freedom of the people of the Falklands, even if they are 8,000 miles away.”

And this MP hits the nail right on the head. What Argentina and Sean Penn are suggesting is that the freedoms of the over 3000 population of the Falklands be ignored and that they merely be shipped away and taken from their homes to Argentina can have the islands.

Today Sean Penn hit out again at the British Government claiming that it had no right to send Prince William to the islands labelling Britian “colonialist, ludicrous and archaic.. I hope that diplomats can establish true dialogue between the UK and Argentina in order to solve the conflict as the world today cannot tolerate ridiculous demonstrations of colonialism.”

By the logic they same to be putting forward, which is ‘if the island is close to us, its ours’ then technically Gibralter should be given to Spain, regardless of the PEOPLES rights and freedoms to decide how they live right? How is that logical?!?!
